I appreciate the time that Dr. Van Wert spent with me during my Telehealth video visit. He began by asking me what I wanted to get out of the appointment. I was pleasantly surprised by his question since he is the first physician I have had who has asked me what my goals for the visit are. Not only did he review my medical history with me, but he also asked follow-up questions so he would have a clearer understanding of my overall health. Dr. Van Wert also included me in the decision-making regarding the plan I need to follow. I am pleased to say that my goals for today's appointment were all addressed.

Would like the doctor spent more time talking and listening while looking at me than spending time on the computer, reviewing and entering notes while I spoke. Having said that, I appreciate the accommodation he made to add an early appointment to see me and the special arrangement he made for me to schedule a bronchoscopy. He also spoke to the insurance carrier directly to clarify pre-authorization and followed up with me while he was travelling and on the weekend via the phone.

The doctor keeps looking at the computer and typing for his note the whole visit. Don't know about patient's problem. Patient has to wait for him to finish his progress note and then he tell the patients about the plan. Really bad experience. Wish we can switch the doctor.
I appreciate that the doctor took time to explain to me the medications I take and the benefits of taking them. I am a head person and no one had ever explained my allergy meds to me.
I was concerned about the frequency of CAT scans required & the exposure to radiation. He took the time to listen to my concerns & gave me the info needed to allay my fears.
