Research Quality & Compliance (RQC)
A PART OF OFFICE OF RESEARCH PATIENT CARE SERVICES
Purpose
The Research Quality & Compliance division within the Office of Research, Patient Care Services (ORPCS) at Stanford Health Care (SHC) is responsible for overseeing the coordination of research quality and compliance where research is conducted and aligns with the Enterprise Strategic and Operational Plan.
This division creates and monitors the patient research quality and compliance infrastructure, offering recommendations to improve the quality of research and compliance for Patient Care Services.
RQC ensures quality and compliance standards are met in research studies by utilizing regulatory standards, national benchmarks, and evidence-based practices to achieve Research Excellence.
Vision
The RQC division serves as a vital bridge, ensuring that research protocols align with the best practices for patient care.
The RQC team is currently refining research policies, tools, and processes at SHC while closely collaborating with clinical area leadership to prioritize patient safety and maximize health outcomes.
Efforts include identifying critical research Quality and Compliance indicators for clinical oversight and building tools and metrics for improvement and best practice recommendations.
