The neuro-ophthalmology service takes care of patients with loss of vision, double vision, eye movement abnormalities, infection, inflammation, and other conditions. In addition to comprehensive clinical assessments of visual acuity, we also provide state-of-the-art clinical testing of the nerves of the eye and enhance public awareness of neuro-ophthalmologic diseases through education and research.

Neuro-Ophthalmology Research and Resources
As the leaders of the Stanford Center for Vision and Prevention of Blindness, a key initiative of the Stanford Neuroscience Community, we also carry out clinical and basic science research to promote better understanding of the mechanism and treatment of neuro-ophthalmic diseases in order to synergize the advancements between the bench and the bedside. We attract sponsored clinical and basic science research and enhance public awareness and education of neuro-ophthalmologic diseases.
