The Stanford Psychiatry Clinic provides comprehensive outpatient behavioral health and psychiatric care for adults, addressing a wide range of disorders. Consultation and ongoing treatment is provided by faculty physicians and psychologists, as well as post-doctoral psychology fellows and psychiatry residents, nurse practitioners, and social workers. The clinic also provides treatment for specialized populations including seniors, women, and patients with a co-existing medical disorder.
Our team provides an evidence-based approach to treating patients with many different types of addiction, including behavioral addictions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. We offer several different once-weekly therapy groups for patients in all stages of recovery, and we have some availability for individual therapy as well.
The Stanford Medicine Adult PTSD Clinic provides time-limited, evidence-based treatment for people 18 and older who are diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder. Treatments include:

We offer second-opinion consultations and ongoing medication management for mood disorders, including depression, dysthymia, and cyclothymia. We also provide electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) evaluations and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for depression.
The Stanford Medicine Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Adult Program offers evidence-based care to adults (ages 18–75) with suicidal behavior and self-harm, as well as those with a range of diagnostic presentations underpinned by emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, and reduced quality of life.
The Stanford Medicine Digital Mental Health Clinic provides a hybrid of one-on-one individual therapy and digital mental health treatments for patients with depression and anxiety disorders.
In our clinic, patients use a digital therapy program, delivered via smartphone app, to learn cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness skills. Patients engage with the digital treatment daily in addition to attending biweekly virtual visits for one-on-one therapy with a clinician.
We provide time-limited, evidence-based outpatient treatment to patients with disordered eating behaviors that impact their health and quality of life. Our mission is to provide efficient, efficacious outpatient treatment for our patients while supporting clinician and trainee professional development and well-being.
Our Adult Eating Disorders Program, housed within Stanford Medicine Department of Psychiatry Psychosocial Treatment Clinic, serves patients ages 18–75.
This clinic has both a training and faculty component and offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and brief management (up to three months) for stabilization and support. Treatment modalities include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and time-limited dynamic psychotherapy. Comprehensive recommendations and referrals will be provided for ongoing treatment.
We treat patients suffering from FND with a collaborative, multispecialty approach.
Patients who complete time-limited FND treatment at Stanford Health Care or who are unable to participate in on-site therapy will receive treatment plans designed around the local resources available to them.
We provide evaluation and treatment for patients 65 years and older with depression, anxiety, and behavioral symptoms of dementia and other psychiatric disorders complicated by the biological and psychological effects of aging.

We provide consultations for patients with major depressive disorder who may benefit from TMS or ECT and patients with treatment-refractory obsessive compulsive disorder who may benefit from TMS or DBS.

La Clinica Latina is Stanford Health Care's new outpatient service that provides our Spanish-speaking Latino patients with psychiatric care that considers their culture. We have video call services and services for psychiatric medication management. We also offer psychotherapy services.
We provide holistic psychiatric care, psychotherapy, and health and well-being coaching that integrates mind and body. We use interventions including exercise, diet, yoga, mindfulness, and sleep optimization as primary modalities for patients to use in managing their mental health in addition to medication and/or psychotherapy.
Patients should be interested and motivated to use these modalities in their daily lives, with the goal of acquiring skills that they can continue to use and assuming responsibility for their mental health.
