Anogenital Dysplasia Treatments
Your medical team assesses your condition, listens to your preferences, and offers personalized treatment plans. We support you throughout your treatment with compassionate care.
- A fellowship-trained anogenital dysplasia doctor who holds advanced education in reproductive infectious diseases and treatment modalities for anogenital dysplasia. Our specialist teaches other clinicians worldwide about this condition.
- A nurse practitioner who has completed practicum training in gynecologic and anal dysplasia.
- Compassionate professionals who care for you without judgment. Most adults get HPV in their lifetime. We want our patients to know they do not need to feel embarrassed or ashamed.
- A team approach with world-class obstetrician-gynecologists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, oncologists, and support staff who personalize your care. We also work closely with the specialists in our LGBTQ+ Health Program.
- Comprehensive care for anal and genital conditions in one location. Our Pelvic Health Center covers the full range of pelvic disorders for people of all genders.
- High-resolution imaging equipment that allows us to view and diagnose conditions precisely. With an early and accurate diagnosis, your treatment can be more effective.
- Leading-edge treatment options, including medication and surgery. Anesthesia and sedation options help patients be more comfortable during procedures.
Connect to Care
Let us help find personalized care options for you and your family.
The type and grade of anogenital dysplasia you have and your overall health determine your treatment.
With low-grade anogenital dysplasia, your doctor may recommend active surveillance. This means we watch the abnormal cells but do not treat them yet.
Your doctor may recommend topical medication (applied to your skin) to treat anogenital dysplasia. Topical drugs include:
- Creams that you apply at home
- Medical-grade acidic treatment
Types of anogenital dysplasia surgery that remove abnormal cells include:
- Ablation: This procedure destroys abnormal cells using extreme heat, freezing temperatures, or a laser.
- Surgical excision: Your doctor surgically removes the affected area and sends the tissue to a lab for evaluation under a microscope.
