What is Kybella Treatment?

Conditions Treated

Kybella treats fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.”

It is not known if Kybella is safe and effective to treat outside of the chin area.

It is not known if Kybella is safe and effective for children under 18.

Before receiving Kybella treatment, tell your doctor if you:

  • Have had or plan to have surgery on your face, neck, or chin
  • Have had cosmetic procedures on your face, neck, or chin
  • Have or had medical conditions in the neck area
  • Have or had trouble swallowing
  • Have bleeding problems
  • Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
  • Are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed
  • Are taking medications, especially blood thinners
