The video visit is a great fallback to an office visit when it is on short notice and/or when I am sick at home and do not want to venture out of the house.
In this case, he responded to my weekend email by fitting me in on Monday, which I much appreciated over showing up at an ER over the weekend.
He has done a very detailed and diligent job as my primary physician. I followed him to Stanford rather than find a new primary physician in my Sutter network.

I was surprised that he apparently was up so upset that I have not taken taken the Covid series of injections. There is an enormous amount of evidence that these injections have injured people and killed many. I think it conservative to take a position that one not jump into an irreversible decision without more proof on the safety and effectiveness. Constantly repeating the injections are safe and effective without proof is not convincing.
I have exactly followed Dr. Nickles, recommendations on how to proceed and have taken my first dose. My wife also followed Dr. Nickles,'s recommendations.

I arrived on time to my appointment, but not 20 min. ahead of time to complete all of the paper work. Dr. Nickles was very upset and told me when he walks into the exam room he expects all the paper work to be done. He made me feel like a little child getting their hands spanked.

The doctor is very matter of fact, never smiles. This is only my second visit and I researched many doctors before asking this one to see my family. I have also recommended him as I think he is a very good doctor. He doesn't connect personally or in a friendly manner and is very direct and to the point. When I listed some of the issues, he did not comment at all and I wound up calling my specialist for answers or just figured it out myself. I may have to just get used to the newness.

Excellent visit/follow-up from my hospital stay and subsequent development of an adverse event. Questions were answered thoroughly and professionally. Additional information provided regarding a change in medication dosing and allowable activity.

Average time I see DOCTOR (usually see PA) is 15 minutes! Very brief discussions... he is a busy man(!?).
This was a brief appointment so he did not have much time. His manner is aloof, but I think he is a very good doc (based on previous experience). I would have liked more explanation, but he was pressed for time.
Dr. Nickles provided instructions and follow-up with a call.
After 20+ years Dr. Nickles always shows genuine concern.
He is sort of cold & detached.
