Vidya Parameswaran, MD, has been in practice for 12 years in the South Bay. Her primary clinical interests include osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Parameswaran finds that treating patients with chronic illness while challenging is very rewarding. Dr. P is caring, thoughtful, insightful, professional, and an excellent diagnostician...she reviewed my complicated situation and ordered lab work as we completed the visit. She offered solutions for some of my inquiries and I did decline a couple of them, but with bloodwork, I will be able to make a decision on the direction to approach for the care for those situations.
I am so grateful for her expertise in more than just Rheumatology, that is, she treats me for Rheumatological medical needs but she has a deeper and broader understanding of medicine. I have always told her I wished she was my Internist...I have found a PCP here in Santa Cruz who is a 'family practice" physician and she is as excellent as Dr. P, comprehensive, thorough, caring, professional, and open to other options

She is great. Very professional. Very thorough in her questions and learning about me.as a new Patient.
Dr Parameswaran is very patient and good in listening. She gives me time and space to express my thoughts and concerns. If she had more time to prepare for our virtual consultation, she can review my medical history thoroughly as I had waited 3 months for this appointment and several specialists had given me care. Dr Parameswaran also appears to be very thorough and not willing to jump into diagnosis. She was very clear with my options and explained her recommendations very well. I love my visits to Dr. Vidya Paramaswaran. She is careful, thorough and interested in what I have to say. And though I go to her primarily for treatment of bone density issues (Prolia injections), she notes anything else of interest or concern during my appointment.

Dr P is an excellent doctor. Video visits are usually fine because they are limited to discussing medication for arthritis pain. It’s not as comprehensive as an office visit but is usually adequate.

I was in need to communicate at length to Dr. Parameswaran before my medical video visit, and I found I could type out what I needed in a word doc. and save it as a PDF and attach that file to the email. I was able to introduce that my attachment was my situation in more detail. This removed a huge anxiety hanging over because I often say too much in a visit...I was able to outline, and streamline my situation and give her a heads up as to what I saw happening. She appreciated it as well. Thank you for the option to attach docs to these emails.

I found Dr. P. quite knowledgeable, direct and honest regarding my issues and her recommendations. It happens that my visual was not functioning so she could only hear me. Nonetheless, we continued; she demonstrated flexibility and a genuine concern that we should utilize the time in the light of the malfunctioning video equipment.
As well, she had a very pleasant and engaging personality.
