I had transferred my PCP to Dr. Shah as the care from my prior PCP was poor. As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, I was very pleased with Dr. Shah. She asked me questions and then looked at me when I answered as opposed to just telling me what to do and not listening to my answers ie. diet and exercise. I maintain a healthy diet and exercise on a daily basis but this was never acknowledged by my prior PCP. Dr. Shah did acknowledge my lifestyle. Dr. Shah seemed rather detached, low energy, and impersonable -- she was looking down at my chart and seemed to be checking boxes rather than actively engaged and attempting to learn more about me as a patient and my concerns. Her responses were brief and she did not ask follow-up questions, ask if I had any questions, or explain much about why she felt treatments were necessary. Maybe it was an off morning for her. I am wanting to establish care with a PCP, but as a first impression, due to her seemingly low interest in me as a patient I don't feel very comfortable with her as my primary care.

I love Rina Shah. She always expresses concern and sympathy. I never feel rushed, and so I understand when she is running late. I know that she will give me my time as she does with all patients. I do appreciate the notifications that the call is running late with an anticipated time (same as when in the office).
Note: I had one incident with another doctor at another practice and when I mentioned something that I hadn't originally mentioned as the reason for my visit, the Dr. actually yelled at me. Most likely because she was running short of time imposed by the health care 'overseer'. I will never go to that kind of a practice again (even though she ultimately did discover that I needed surgery for gallstones because of the unexpected symptom!).
So I doubly appreciate the time Dr. Shah affords all her patients.

One of the issues i raised was a new breast fibroadenoma / cyst. Having a long history of issues here, i found her attitude quite cold and 'why wouldnt you just have surgery' unhelpful. When i looked at the request for mammogram paperwork later it mentioned malignancy even though she didnt not mention that to me in person and in fact agreed it felt like a cyst using the term 'breast mouse' in terms of its mobility. In all the visit left me feeling very unsettled and anxious, for something that should have been much more routine. If you are going to use the word malignant in paperwork you are handing to patient, you should explain why it is there and level of concern.
