Biography
Dr. Alexander is an advanced heart failure-trained cardiologist. He is also an Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Alexander specializes in the management of advanced heart failure and transplant cases, seeing a wide range of patients. He also has an active research laboratory, studying various forms of heart failure.
Dr. Alexander has expertise in diagnosing and treating transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis, a critical yet underdiagnosed cause of heart failure among African Americans and the elderly. He is conducting extensive research to enhance our understanding of this condition, with grant support from the National Institutes of Health and American Heart Association, among other sources.

DR. Alexander is very thorough in all aspects with my visit with my cardio vascular condition. I wish my primary DR. was as was good as DR. Alexander in returning my calls about my health questions that I have concerns about.
We feel Blessed to have Dr. Alexander as an Important resource in the treatment of my husband's Heart Failure. My husband's condition is complex, with several other medical conditions adding to the "puzzle" and a plethora of medications that need to be coordinated and perhaps altered.
Generally Dr. Alexander supports the model of local doctors taking the lead in my husband's treatment-----and serving as a resource for them. But, when we lost 3 of our local doctors (our Primary Doctor of 35 years, our Cardiologist, and my husband's Hematologist) within 3 months last year---we turned to Dr. Alexander and he willingly stepped in to guide and support us until we were able to establish new doctors.
I cannot adequately express our relief and gratitude for his support. We absolutely think He Is The Best!!

Video appointment with Dr. Kevin Alexander was great all around. He has a great demeanor, easy to understand. Genuine guy. I would recommend him. And, I love that he suggested I advocate for a cardiologist and echo cardiogram, due to my Amyloid, in the future after my Myeloma is treated.
Dr Alexander was amazing at answering questions and concerns I had. He even drew a picture to better explain what he was saying. I appreciated that drawing. He wanted me to voice my thoughts and gave me opportunities to do that. I felt that I was definitely in charge of my health care and what felt right for me.
