Thorough. Friendly. Knowledgeable,
I thought he listened really well he asked good questions he gave me good advice and I'm looking forward to meeting him when I have a colonoscopy and doing a follow-up visit.
Great GI specialist. Appreciate the empthay, care and willingness to listen and take my case seriously. He was suprised by the diagnosis, but I'm glad he didn't not write me off or rule it out based on likelihood.

Dr Barber conveys clear, concise information at a reasonable pace allowing me to take notes.
Dr. Barber was very friendly, thorough, and patient in discussing my medical issue. He left me feeling less discouraged about my current condition. I really felt his care and empathy throughout our discussion.
Dr. Barbar was great, he was patient with me, asked all the questions and explained me things well. Thank you Doctor.
Dr. Barber was very polite and made me feel very comfortable during the visit. He gave me plenty of time to ask questions or express concerns I may have had.
Great Communication skills and costumer service
Very professional, considerate, empathic and kind physician, I felt like he listened to my concerns, and was interested in what I had to say, and was able to communicate with me what the next steps would be in my plan of care. I appreciated his attention to detail, his review of my current condition and his ability to communicate to me his understanding and empathy towards my situation. He displayed interest, compassion, consideration, clear professionalism, knowledge and care.
Very nice and thorough
Dr. Barber was very nice & very professional. He was familiar with my medical records when he sat down with me. I appreciate that. Most of his recommendations were akin to the ones from my community doctor, which made me wonder why I was at this clinic. But when I expressed what I thought was missing, he suggested that I see an infectious disease doctor. I appreciated his flexibility & willingness to bring in another type of specialist. The referral went through right away & I have an appointment with the ID doctor next week. (I was falsely under the impression that there were ID doctors that are part of the digestive health team. My local doctor had mentioned that UCSF has them on the GI teams & I thought Stanford did, too.) Dr. Barber came up with a comprehensive follow-up plan with a lot of different kinds of tests. I appreciated his attention to detail.
Dr. Barber was incredibly knowledgeable and gave me much more insight into my issues than the other Doctors I have seen He was very patient with me understanding and compassionate Was able to answer all my questions and concerns I feel that he wants to expedite my case as quickly as possible to get to the cause of my condition I was very happy and feel assured that he will be able to help me!
He was a very good listener and even though a lot of medical information I had was notional, he was able to determine best course of action.
Excellent doctor.
He's an excellent, mature, well educated, sociable, and kind doctor who I feel completely comfortable with.
thank you so much appreciate for you

Dr Barber was excellent and very informative.
This my first meeting with Grant Barber and lasted only 15 minutes. By the end of the meeting I felt like I was in good hands and all the questions on my list had been addressed. He was pleasant and had a sense of humor and I look forward to working with him.
Excellent doctor who provides clear explanations and values his patients input on their healthcare decisions. Feel well cared for by him
I appreciated the structure of the discussion, eg. "We'll start with colonoscopy, then come back to GERD". We followed that structure which prevented the sense that something got dropped.
Dr. Barber is very thorough, knowledgeable, and caring. He took care of my needs, listened carefully to my concerns, and followed up on my inpatient stay at Stanford. I’m very grateful he’s part of my care team!
Dr Barber, is both kind and knowledgeable. He is an excellent practitioner to help one feel more comfortable with embarrassing issues.
Great doctor
