Biography
Dr. Albert Chiou is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Stanford University and completed an MPhil in Chemistry, by research, from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Gates Cambridge Scholar. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, where he also completed a joint business degree. Dr. Chiou performed his dermatology residency at Stanford University and served as Chief Resident in his final year. His clinical focus is in medical dermatology.
Dr. Chiou conducts clinical trials investigating new therapies for inflammatory and genetic skin diseases, along with evaluating artificial intelligence-driven decision support approaches for skin cancer and melanoma detection. He is active in supporting institutional research informatics efforts pertinent to clinical research and clinical trials across Stanford Medicine.

Wonderfully accommodating staff and doctor. My ride to the Clinic made me 15 minutes late and they worked me in within 10 minutes of my arrivel. Dr. Chiou is the most pleasant doctor i have EVER met.

I had an outstanding first experience with Stanford dermatology.
Dr. Chiou is an excellent caring doctor who I would highly recommend. However, it was hard to share my skin problems through a video appt. I did send photos but it isn’t the same as an in person visit. The video appointment did allow me to see the doctor much, much sooner, which was great. In fact, I made the appt only a couple of hours before the appt time. He also scheduled an in person visit to follow up. Excellent care was provided.

I am down here in Monterey and the doctors down here didn't know regarding my condition or care enough to help me, they were very unprofessional and irritated that I was keeping them from face lift surgery where they can make more money, you see, I am 72 yrs old female who is on Medicare. From the fist day I had appointment with Dr. Chiou, he wanted to help me, he was gracious, patient, understanding and best bedside manners I have seen in very long time. It has been over 3 years, since my fist visit to Dr. Chiou with my condition, he is still same wonderful doctor that he is.
