Biography
Dr. Hamed Sajjadi is double board certified in Otolaryngology and Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery. His philosophy is treat every patient with utmost compassion and to deliver state of the art medical care tailored to the patient’s need and wishes. Dr. Sajjadi has been involved in teaching of Otology/Neurotology continuously since finishing his fellowship training in 1986. He is Clinical Professor in the department of Otolaryngology-HNS at Stanford Medicine. He is also the chief of division of Neurotology at the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Hospital.
Dr. Sajjadi is married to Azar, they have four adult children. He is an avid Mountain Biker, downhill skier, car enthusiast, and private pilot.

Both the nurse and Dr. showed concern for my health. The doctor immediately sent out a request for a CT scan which were requested by me, but did not occur with other Drs. He gave me brochures and several promising options for treatment. The Doctor who tested my hearing really listened to my concerns and spent a generous amount of time going over options for me and showed concern regarding my long drive for future visits. The admin staff who scheduled my appointments and did my intake form was extremely friendly over the phone and went above and beyond for me. Even after my visit, I called to schedule the next appointment, another staff member helped me way above her call of duty and I am extremely grateful for the staff in Dr. Sajjadi's office. It was a visit where I felt very taken care of, even after leaving.

care provider was sometimes courteous, sometimes very abrupt. The biggest concern was the non concern regarding quite serious side effects as a result of high doses of prescribed steroids and/ negative interactions with other multiple prescribed medications

This doctor is very smart and knows his stuff. In regards to a vestibular migraine, I still am unsure of how or why I seemingly get them from time to time and they take forever (over two months or longer) to go away. The doctor has responded to emails when sent to him.

The doctor did not rush through my appointment. He was very thorough and concerned and willing to do further testing before making a diagnosis.
I have never been more impressed by the care I received (first time at office) by Dr. Sajjadi and his PA Sherry. They discussed the seriousness of my condition, the previous treatment I received and how he wanted to proceed to get some relief. I left after an hour with multiple appointments (MRI, future visit) as well as a plan for the next 30 days.
The good doctor took his Time to share with me about the surgery about the risks about the rewards and the confidence that gives people on the surgery outcome.
Dr. Sajjadi was the only ENT I have seen who was able to figure out what was going on with a very bizarre and rare case of my Eustachian tube dysfunction and he was able to develop a medical management plan that has resulted in significant improvement. He is one of those rare doctors that is extremely detail oriented and you can tell it is from his passion for caring for patients and the field - he is not one of those doctors that is at Stanford just for the research. Overall he is everything a doctor should be - Sharp, empathetic, detail oriented, and very experienced. I will be recommending many people to him.

He seems like he cares, and he was the first one to apologize for the wait. But he told me that I was on "auto pilot" and that he didn't need to see me anymore, that I could get my prescription from my GP or a Neurologist. But if I wanted, he'd be happy to continue to see me once a year. But really did not feel he was considering my feelings or worries and did not feel welcome to return to his office. The PA saw me first, she genuinely seemed to care about me. However, if I asked any specific questions she said "thats a question for the doctor" and moved on.
Every one in the office has always been very friendly, helpful & empathetic.
the CP just read to me the MRI summary result. and then he said, you should take another MRI and see another plastic surgeon. My impression is that, he is trying to milk' me as much as he can. I spent almost $1000 for MRI and all I heared was, you should take another MRI.He did not even look at my ear. He asked me to smile. very disappointed.

I was not happy about being made to wait for so long. The provider is lacking good bedside manner. I hear he is the best so I feel as though I should continue treatments with him, but I was much happier seeing the PA and hope to continue doing that.
