APP Fellowship Program
A PART OF CENTER FOR ADVANCED PRACTICE
Stanford's Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program offers fully benefitted 12-month positions designed to provide post-graduate training to new Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who wish to transition into specialty care; and to experienced APPs who wish to transition to administration.
The APP Fellowship Program mission is excellence in supporting transition to practice, professional development and acquisition of specialty knowledge to build knowledge and confidence in the practice of clinical specialties of Cancer Care, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Electrophysiology, Inpatient Neurosciences and the leadership specialty of Administration.
The Fellowship teaches the core competencies for specialty certification and offers the opportunity for APPs to gain in-depth exposure to complex specialty care and systems.
- Clinical APP Fellows work with diverse teams of providers focused on specific patient populations through Stanford's inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Administrative APP Fellows work with diverse leadership teams focused on operations and quality improvement throughout the organization.

Meet our APP team
The APP Fellowship Program was designed through the Center for Advanced Practice in partnership with the clinical operational departments to support new graduate APPs transition to a clinical specialty.
The program began in 2016 and has an infrastructure that creates supportive relationships throughout the organization, allowing the APP to gain knowledge about their specialty and develop as a professional.
