Care and Treatment of Chronic Wounds

Comprehensive Wound Therapy

We emphasize limb preservation and salvation using a variety of clinical treatments, therapies, and support services to treat chronic wounds. Our team works together to determine the best treatment plan for you.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a non-invasive, painless treatment option to help the body heal faster. HBOT involves filling a pressurized chamber with 100% pure oxygen, allowing your lungs to breathe in more oxygen than normal.

This extra, purer oxygen is carried throughout your body, healing damaged areas faster and more efficiently.  

We have two hyperbaric chambers for the treatment and management of complex wounds. HBOT is used to treat:

  • Advanced peripheral artery disease
  • Bacterial infections, like actinomycosis
  • Acute peripheral arterial insufficiency
  • Bone infections, like osteomyelitis
  • Compromised skin grafts and flaps
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Tissue damaged from radiation therapy or chemotherapy
