Improving Life After Cancer
When treatment is completed, you may be referred to a clinician with experience in cancer survivorship working in the clinical care group where you received your treatment, or continue follow-up visits with your primary cancer team
Our approach to Cancer Survivorship is based on true partnership between the survivor and their health care team with the goal of returning to wellness. Survivors are at the center of theprogram driving the focus of their visits and the implementation of their Survivorship Plan. Prior to each visit, we send a survey focused on symptoms, so survivors can determine what should be discussed during visits and we can ensure the right health care professionals are available to them.
Education, supportive care services, and resources
All cancer survivors are offered the opportunity to participate in Stanford Health Care’sCancer Supportive Care Program's exercise classes, workshops, support groups and lecture series. There are a multitude of resources available in person, by telephone, and via the internet to support people who live with, through and beyond cancer.
