Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) in South Asians
Studies show that South Asians are more likely to have coronary artery disease and other risk factors like diabetes. Despite this, South Asians are less likely to develop peripheral artery disease.
The reason for this low incidence is unclear, although genetic factors may be involved. This is one of the many questions we hope to better answer at SSATHI.
