Innovation Through
Clinical Research
As a leading academic and research institution, we are always striving to find new techniques and apply the latest and best technology to your treatment. Specialists at the Stanford Thoracic Surgery Clinical Research Program work across medical disciplines to spark groundbreaking research on thoracic (chest) surgical care. We are committed to assessing the effectiveness of thoracic surgery to improve outcomes and quality of care for our patients.
Each patient's experience is unique, which is why we provide you with individualized care. Our doctors, nurses, technicians, and staff are here to support you throughout your journey with treatment plans tailored to your needs.
Your Doctors
Our skilled nurse practitioners and physician assistants (PAs) specialize in diagnosing and treating chest wall conditions. They see patients independently and occasionally alongside your doctor. APPs can give you a thorough exam, write prescriptions, and help prevent or treat any issues. Our APPs meet weekly to discuss patient needs.
Your Extended Care Team
Nurses, patient care coordinators, patient access representatives, and medical assistants coordinate your care with your care team. They guide you from your first contact through follow-up care to help you find counseling, financial, and other support services.
If you qualify for a clinical trial, our research coordinators guide you through the process. They educate you about what to expect during the study, answer your questions, and schedule your appointments.
