Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 Diabetes
According to 2011 data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 28.5 million people, or 8.3 percent of the U.S. population, have diabetes. This puts them at increased risk for heart disease, limb amputation, blindness, and other serious health conditions. Fortunately, type 2 diabetes—the most common type of diabetes—can be prevented. You may be able to reverse its course, if you make the right lifestyle choices.

Clinical Trials
Clinical trials are research studies that evaluate a new medical approach, device, drug, or other treatment. As a Stanford Health Care patient, you may have access to the latest, advanced clinical trials.
Open trials refer to studies currently accepting participants. Closed trials are not currently enrolling, but may open in the future.
