Myasthenia Gravis Causes
What Causes Myasthenia Gravis?
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease. Experts do not know what triggers the immune system dysfunction and they do not believe it is an inherited condition.
The symptoms of myasthenia gravis may occur at any age. They are more common in young adults and those older than age 50. Women tend to get myasthenia gravis at an earlier age than men.
