Multiple Myeloma: About this Condition
Stages of Multiple Myeloma
Multiple myeloma is grouped into 3 stages. Your diagnosis will show which of these stages applies to your condition:
- Stage 1: Only a small number of myeloma cells are found in the body, and often there are no symptoms. The predicted outcome (prognosis) is best.
- Stage 2: Some myeloma cells have spread through the body, and prognosis is intermediate.
- Stage 3: Many myeloma cells have spread through the body, and treatment is more difficult.
