Eye Strain Causes
Eye Strain Causes
Eye strain is typically caused by focusing too intently and too long at objects that are close to our eyes. This can include:
- Extended staring at electronic screens, including computers, smart phones and videogames
- Reading for long periods
- Driving
Other causes of eye strain include an eye muscle imbalance, undiagnosed vision problems or an outdated prescription for glasses or contact lenses.
