Complications Associated with Total Parenteral Nutrition
As with any treatment, it's possible for complications to happen. However, this is uncommon.
Possible complications associated with TPN include:
- Dehydration and electrolyte Imbalances
- Thrombosis (blood clots)
- Hyperglycemia (high blood sugars)
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugars)
