The Pain Management Center at Stanford Health Care offers a comprehensive range of services for patients with acute or chronic pain. Sean Mackey, MD, PhD, held a key leadership role in developing the NIH Health and Human Services National Pain Strategy. Dr. Mackey also served as co-chair of the committee that produced the National Pain Strategy report.
Clinical trials are research studies that evaluate a new medical approach, device, drug, or other treatment. As a Stanford Health Care patient, you may have access to the latest, advanced clinical trials.
Open trials refer to studies currently accepting participants. Closed trials are not currently enrolling, but may open in the future.
