Pre-procedure preparation is important in a successful endoscopic procedure. You will receive written instructions from your doctor on how to prepare for your procedure. You may also read the instructions found below.
Have someone drive you, or be available to drive you home, on the day of the procedure. Someone responsible for you can accompany you in a taxi, but NO public transport is allowed. For your own safety, you will NOT be allowed to drive yourself due to the sedation. Your procedure will be canceled if you do not have a ride.
We recommended that you do not go back to work, do any strenuous exercise, drive, or sign any legal documents after the procedure. Please notify us if you have any special health care needs.
The Stanford Medicine Online Second Opinion program offers you easy access to our world-class doctors. It’s all done remotely and you don’t have to visit our hospital or one of our clinics for this service. You don’t even need to leave home!
