Although a video conference is a great time saver and convenient, meeting Dr. Boyd was a very informative and reassuring experience. No doctor has ever explained how he was going to perform my surgery and what to expect so well. And I have had several surgeries, including a previous bypass. He was concerned about how I felt and the outcome I should expect. He explained that not just HE, but a TEAM would be looking out for me. Everyone on his TEAM expressed genuine concern for my well- being. I would like to thank Maria Caimol and Sally Eastman for making my visit and my family as comfortable as possible. I never heard of a hospital that set up appointments to minimize my travel, where to park, where to stay, and hourly reports on the progress of my surgery. The hospital staff were so kind, friendly, and caring. Dr. Boyd was right about having a TEAM. I must give a lot of credit to Stanfor Health too. MyHealth is a wonderful thing. Not only for being able to keep track of all my appointments, but also for being able to check-in and do a lot of the paperwork online. I reviewed all my tests and appointment notes. But it was also nice to see who my care givers were. It was very reassuring to read all of Dr. Boyd's credentials. I knew I was in the hands of a truly great surgeon. But all those accolades don't tell you about the wonderful bedside manner of Dr. Boyd. He was so kind, concerned, reassuring, professional, has a great sense of humor, and humble. I am still on the road to recovery, but I wouldn't be here without Dr. Boyd. This being my second bypass, I can compare notes. I've has little to no pain, my chest feels much more secure, and all the issues that I had before are gone. I can truly say that the difference is ALL Dr. Boyd. Great hands, and obviously a very smart man! Thank you so much Dr. Boyd!!!!!
