The Founding PFAC aims to provide insight and recommendations regarding the patient and caregiver experience at Stanford Health Care. This PFAC provides a forum for the patient and family voices to be heard and represented in the design of patient care.
The PFAC’s achievements have influenced Stanford in a number of ways, including:
Designed a condolence letter sent to loved ones of deceased patients along with a bereavement survey
Partnered with Patient Care Services and Supply Chain to eliminate SHC embroidery on hospital pillows, saving over $25,000 each year
Partnered with nursing on Patient Unit F3 to establish a more robust bedside shift-to-shift report pilot
Helped revise and improve content and aesthetics of Sonifi, Stanford’s inpatient entertainment and streaming service
Provided feedback on the selection of food and gift shop amenities available in the new Stanford Hospital
